Perfect Synchronicity

I believe in manifestation; I know that what I focus on will grow, that good begets good, and that paying it forward pays off, yada yada. That said, I have never met someone as good at manifesting her dreams as Rebecca Folsom.

Last weekend, a few hundred people came together to celebrate Rebecca and her newest album, Sanctuary, at the eTown theater in Boulder, Colorado. Artists, musicians, philanthropists, business leaders, healers, refugees, veterans, and community members came together in what Nick Forster (CEO of eTown) called perfect synchronicity. For the past three years, Rebecca has collaborated with people across the spectrum of humanity to create a sonic experience that is entirely captivating.

While I have gotten to know Rebecca, her journey, and her purpose over the past few months, nothing prepared me for the array of emotions that would take over my body throughout the concert. Sharing all of the tracks on the Sanctuary album, Folsom travels through the facets of human experience with each song. From a song about owning your femininity, “Brilliantly, Boldly Alive,” to a piece written with and for refugee women, “Power of Love,” to a song that captures the feelings of being a veteran, “Thousand Yard Stare,” every song struck a different heart string.

With every song was a story, like the story about the prisoners who helped write the song “Brothers.” Throughout the evening, many of the people Rebecca has impacted were able to share through song and story, reminding us of our interconnection and the synchronicity that brought us all together. If the music wasn’t powerful enough on its own, knowing how and why these songs came to be, made them that much more intense.

Rebecca has worked so hard to get to this moment, and we are so excited to support her as she shines! The journey of sharing Sanctuary with the world is only beginning. TODAY, the entire Sanctuary album is available for all to hear and feel (wherever you listen to music). We invite you all to listen to the full album, think about the journey this music has taken, and allow yourself to feel whatever you feel. We recommend having a box of tissues nearby!
